Bug Phobia- Advice needed

She stuck a felt marker in her ear and the tip broke off. I was able to hold her while she screamed and panicked. I removed the marker tip with tweezers and took her to the hospital. Luckily damage was minor and healing was quick. Understandably she has been quite nervous about things near her ears ever since. Two months ago we got some warm weather.
