I heard a loud thump while loading the dishwasher and immediately my heart started racing. My first reaction was to drop whatever I was doing and dash straight towards wherever my 8 month old and 4 year old was. To my relief, the two were situated on the floor playing pat-a-cake pat-a-cake bakers man with their hands while watching an episode of The Wiggles; baby boy safely nestled in his Green Baby Snug. *phew* I received the Baby Snug, created from Mamas and Papas, to review and was thrilled to be able to put away our old baby seat (to … Continue reading
Disclosure: I received this product in exchange for an evaluation and review, however this did not effect my decisions. All opinions and experiences are completely honest and 100% my own. Ok, so maybe I’m strange – but when I learned I had the chance to review a new set of paper towels from Bounty, I was actually really excited. Maybe not in the usual way, but in an “I’m a Homeschool Mom and we can take this opportunity to do some cool experiments!” way. My boys were right on board. Let me introduce you to the new Bounty DuraTowel. (We … Continue reading
((I posted this review on my blog a few weeks ago, and wanted to share it here too!)) A few weeks ago, I won a great prize from a Parent Tested, Parent Approved twitter party. I won a 3 month subscription to SparkPlay.com. I had never heard of this website before, but once I checked it out, I was super excited. They believe in educational play-based, which is something I also feel strongly about. They are a Canadian based company that offer subscriptions and every month they send you a fun filled themed play pack. They give you kind of … Continue reading
Like any baby, when they’re first born, you take photographs. Lots of photographs. Tens. Hundreds, Thousands. I’m not joking.
Especially when it’s your first child, you capture every moment. The first day, the first bath, the first sleep in the crib, smile, roll, etc. Something I also did was take a shot of Isabelle every single week while she was in the NICU, to see how big she was getting, and then every month in the nursery chair.
Sometimes, as mommy brain sets in, you forget these milestones or dates. Here’s where Belly Banter helps. Belly Banter is a company that makes monthly and milestone stickers for your babe. Continue reading
At one time or another, I’m pretty sure we have all struggled with getting our kids to eat the required servings of fruits and vegetables each day. I know, in the past I have tried to get the servings into them via fruit smoothies, fruit faces on bowls of oatmeal, ants on a log…{no, not real ants…celery sticks filled with cheese and topped with raisins…lol} and adding grated carrots to pasta sauce. These options all work well, but lets face it, we are all very busy and these “tricks” may be great for the week-ends and holidays, but what about the rest of the … Continue reading
I have said it before not till I became a parent did I fully understand the need to be over caution in everything I do. We have 4 children who count on us and we count on them too. So when our family was asked to take the new 2013 Infiniti JX for a week, I was pretty excited to see just what type of safety features Infiniti had in place. Not to mention would it fit our family of six comfortable? Country Road Trip It’s Fall and one of our favorite thing to do during our favorite time of … Continue reading
There are some vehicles that are great while others that are not. MommyMatter.com had the luxury of testing out the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu to determine if this vehicle was apart of the great group or the ‘not’ group. Being a family that owns larger sized vehicles we knew we’d be very critical instantly of the Malibu. We know cars can be designed to be small but big at the same time, and this was something we were really hoping we’d experience with the Malibu. First things first, if you’re used to driving a larger sized vehicle watch your head. For … Continue reading
Have you ever been to a birthday party with a gift you were just a little unsure of? I know I have, especially if the child is older than my own. Even as someone who works with children for a living, it’s not always easy to find the perfect gift! I generally try and seek out toys that are fun, will keep a child busy for a while, is educational and, for the most part, is not too noisy. Playskool has come up with a great new website to help you find the perfect gift for the little one in … Continue reading
