It’s that time of the year again, when we hope our husbands are planning our mothers day gifts (wishful thinking), and we hope our children have started their crafts that are sure to warm our hearts. In reality, we know that our husbands will be waiting until the day before Mothers Day to finalize our gift and the night before Mothers Day to buy our card (want a good laugh? Just go to your local CVS, Walgreens or Shoppers Drug Mart and check out how many guys are gathered around the card section on the night before).

Our amazing community is made up of moms and dads, grandparents, aunts, uncles, caregivers and parents-to-be. We appreciate each and every one of you because without your support and loyalty and your trust in what the PTPA Seal of Approval represents, we wouldn’t be here today. In an effort to thank you, we thoroughly enjoy offering contest after contest but nothing gives us more pleasure than honoring Moms on Mother’s Day each year. Moms make up the majority of our community and they are the passion that drives us to do better each and every day! To help us celebrate, … Continue reading

Creative and Personal Gifts for Mom! By Toronto4Kids.com This month, we celebrate Moms! For everything that Moms do, they never seem to get the praise they deserve. And, finding the right gift for a special mom is not always an easy task. Here are a few ideas to get you started… something personal and thoughtful that sends an extraordinary message!

I know, it’s Mothers Day today. I should probably be writing a post about that but this does have some relevance so bare with me. Besides, I did write a Tribute to my Wife on my personal blog for Mothers Day! My daughter recently turned 2 years old. I’m not afraid to admit that when I found out we were having a girl, I freaked out a bit. Not because I didn’t want a girl, but because there hadn’t been a girl in my family for 80+ years and I had no idea what I was doing! As it turns … Continue reading

Mother’s Day will be celebrated this  Sunday, May 13th 2012 – the one day a year we mom’s can sit back, put up our feet and celebrate Motherhood. I wrote the following post on my blog last Mother’s Day and thought I would share it here with all of you: “A Mother is a woman who had conceived, given birth to, or raised a child in the role of a parent“. This is part of the definition according wikipedia however, to me the role of Motherhood is define by so much more than that. Whether birthed, adopted or taken in, the … Continue reading

I am a new PTPA Blogaholic, but I have been a Dad blogger since 2010.   Over on our Dad blog I spend most of my time not being serious and poking fun at all things family related.   So boy o boy would I love to mock Mother’s Day for so many different reasons. First, as one of the only dad blogger Blogaholics here at PTPA it would seem my responsibility to poke fun at Mother’s Day, while singing the praises of Dads.  Second, there is the whole commercialization of Mother’s Day thing to mock. Last I checked I … Continue reading

Mother’s Day is around the corner and everyone is asking the moms what we want. I’m a simple gal and not particularly high maintenance in the gifts department. I don’t want flowers or jewelry for Mother’s Day or any other occasion really. In fact, my perfect Mother’s Day gift would be doing without some things. For example, there are certain comments made by the general public that we mamas could do without. Mamas of biggie-sized families prefer not to be asked if we own a TV or suggestions that we should take up a hobby. Contrary to popular belief, we … Continue reading

I am a Dad and normally I love Sundays.  A great day to rest, relax and have some fun with the family.  Not today.  No, this Sunday marks one week until Mother’s Day and I am totally freaking out about what to get my wife – who happens to be the world’s best mom.  By the way, my wife being the best mom is an objective fact since I once got her a mug that said that, and you really can’t argue with a mug. Back to the stress.  If I could figure out a way to rip my email … Continue reading
