There’s something I’ve been meaning to do, but I just can’t bring myself to do it.
My toddler is 18 months old and still hooked on nursing. I haven’t even taken the first steps towards weaning him. Continue reading

With two active boys under the age of 5 and a newborn daughter, I would not be able to survive some days without a proper baby carrier. The more children I have, the more it becomes essential for me to have the ability to breastfeed while on the go. Babywearing keeps me sane! Before my daughter was born, I visited the PTPA site to research the different types of carriers that had received the PTPA Winning Seal and the Sleepy Wrap caught my eye as a very practical choice given my needs. Thus, I was delighted when given the opportunity … Continue reading

As mentioned in PTPA’s Top Breastfeeding Tips, shared earlier this week, a good nursing cover can give you increased confidence and comfort when breastfeeding in public. The Booby Trapper is a uniquely designed nursing cover, created by a Canadian mom who discovered a need for a cover that would provide breastfeeding mothers with the privacy they desired while enabling them to make eye contact with their child, thus enhancing the bonding experience! Unlike other nursing covers that just have a single rim at the top, the Booby Trapper has a second rim that suspends the canopy over the mother’s chest as … Continue reading

OK, well, the secret’s out now. I’m going to be 30 in 2 weeks. 30 has made me evaluate some things in my life that are perhaps not exactly as I’d love them to be. Check out my personal health goals and get some inspiration for your own milestones, or maybe just for your healthiest summer yet! Continue reading

The journey of being a new mom has really challenged my sense of self-image. To say it has been a roller-coaster would be an understatement. When I was pregnant, I really enjoyed my new body. Physically, I felt great most of the time and mentally, I found it liberating to dismiss my insecurities about not being skinny enough and instead, to celebrate my growing belly. I actually found that I had more wardrobe options with my baby belly (I could now wear items that fit more snugly around the tummy area) and had fun adapting my clothes to my new … Continue reading

There is one true fit item that I wore before the birth of baby boy and religiously wore it after. It kept its shape, it held in tender pregnancy breasts and tender nursing breasts.  It was a bra, it was a bathing suit top, top to teach yoga in, a tank top, a tank under a low neck sweater, convenient to wear under non-nursing tops so I didn’t flash everyone my post-pregnancy body and my milk makers and was worn to bed.  What is it? The Bravado Essential Nursing Bra Tank. bravadodesigns.com These nursing bra tank tops contain a real … Continue reading
