The Endorsement Parents Look For

When the opportunity to become munchkin Canada Brand Ambassadors came available I knew our family would be the perfect fit, with 4 kiddies 6 and under I have lot’s of back to back experience with baby gear & essentials. There has always been one thing that has been very important to us when choosing the right gear & essentials for our family, we look at each piece as an investment, because having back to back children you need one; everything to outlast the last child and two; you need it to “grow” with them all. Munchkin products “grow” with baby, … Continue reading

Imagine life before Motherhood. Your pregnant and trying to capture the essence of every moment. Every kick. Every hiccup. The sleepless nights (all in preparation of baby). The frequent potty breaks. The finer moments and the less glorious moments… while still looking at the big picture. I remember those days so vividly. Oddly enough, it was over 3 years ago! During pregnancy, I always tried to look that the big picture. I was huge on big organized, knowledgeable and prepared. I spent a lot of time scoping out parenting magazines, researching products and daydreaming up the design of the most-perfect nursery. I … Continue reading

One of the things I love most about having my own blog, my personal voice on the world wide web, is that I have the opportunity to share my honest opinions and thoughts on anything and everything, especially when it will benefit other mother’s (parents) like me. I was so ecstatic to have been chosen as a Brand Ambassador for PTPA’s Munchkin Canada Brand Ambassador Program.

Besides the kids being sick there was one thing I dread just as much, taking the kids temperature. More times then once I would say OK your hot to touch, not knowing their exact temperature, don’t mom’s just know with a touch? A few times I felt kind of dumb to both my mother-in-law & mother; you should really be taking their temperature they would tell me in case it’s too high. I would go on about how horrible all 5 thermometers in my cupboard are, they all show different temperatures & the kids are squirming & after 10 minutes both the … Continue reading

Admittedly my 2 year old should not still be drinking out of bottles but I cannot bring myself to take them away from her quite yet.  She’s had these bottles and pacifiers for awhile now and they never seem to look clean enough which makes me worry that the bacteria hasn’t all been eliminated.  The best way to ensure your bottles have no bacteria left behind is by steam cleaning.  The T-Fal 2 in 1 Bottle Warmer and Sterilizer puts your mind at ease and ensures the bottles you put in your baby’s mouth are the right temperature and free … Continue reading

No matter how much time your kids spend outside, chances are good that they’re not getting enough vitamin D year-round. Ddrops are a quick and easy way to get some of the vital sunshine vitamin into them. Continue reading

Even as adults, we do more of this than anything else: sleep. When The K Man was a few months old, I started to read about the toxic chemicals and materials used in mattresses, and settled on settled on Naturepedic’s No-Compromise Organic Cotton Classic mattress. Continue reading

When you have 4 children back-back such as we do, there comes a time when even great-grandma has put in her time to help give the baby a little push. Or when grandma has taken the stroller for a walk around the block well you attend your doctor’s appointment. Or when the cousins are over playing mom and dad, it is always a blast when you can pretend to take a real baby for a walk. Well since I have had the pleasure & honour to parent test the latest PTPA winner, the CITY MINI GT, by Baby Jogger. The above situations have happened more than once … Continue reading
