I cannot believe he is already 10 months and that, especially after writing about our daycare dilemma, we actually got a childcare spot in Quebec at a highly recommended childcare centre. I had this notion that I would be back in the swing of my fitness routine, training all my clients again with a busy schedule and still fitting in my own workouts when I was 3 months postpartum. We do what has felt most natural to us as a family. We cloth diaper, we babywear, we co-sleep and we have started EC’ing. EC stands for elimination communication which means we give our baby boy opportunities (or “pottytunities” as a book I am reading says) to urinate and have bowel movement in a toilet rather than dirtying his diaper or himself. Hypothermia can happen very quickly and as parents we need to react without delay to help warm up our little precious children. Baby boy was born and our lives were forever changed. Forever changed in a way I only dreamed of, a way I would never ever take back. I only wish one thing.
