We all have our favorite brands, those brands that we frequent regularly, that we believe in and stand behind. For me Tim Hortons is that brand. Not a morning goes by that I don’t stop to pick up my large tea and a bagel. It is part of my routine and the brand just feels like home for me. Last night I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful event hosted by Tim Hortons. As I observed a room filled with many Tim Hortons executives I felt such a sense of pride and excitement to be part of an amazing … Continue reading

I wonder what I did before social media? So here’s my first Blogaholics post. I am a mom of 3 kids. My first two kids were born with 11 months apart. Life was nothing short of entertaining. My kids were as energetic as my husband and I when we were children! Ninety percent of the time our sofa cushions were on the ground and our dining table chairs were turned upside down. Every once in a while an evening comes along that leaves you inspired and ready to take on the world with all new meaning! Oprah spoke to a packed house in Hamilton and even though there were 15,000 people in attendance she managed to make it feel intimate and as if she was just enjoying a night with friends. She shared many stories of her difficult upbringing and the struggles and hurdles she had … Continue reading
Remember to stay connected with Julia and Emma on their Books With No Bounds Facebook Page. UPDATE: MomMomOnTheGo has been contacting book companies that she has previous contacts with and making inquiries as to whether or not they can donate some books to Books With no Bounds. I am awaiting to hear back from a number of them. I am happy to announce that
With the start of March break only a few days away, I found myself last night exploring how we were going to spend the week. With only 1 in school full-time our week won’t be completely different, but I do strive to make it memorable for her. With daddy still working I am not going to be adventuring out with all 4 to hassle the busy March break crowds, we will be keeping it low key and close to home. Last year I found the kids really enjoyed when I themed up our days, we had backwards day, messy hair day, favorite color day, sports … Continue reading
An Unconventional Approach to New Year’s Resolutions I don’t like making resolutions on New Year’s Eve. As a psychotherapist, I am in the business of personal change. Believe me when I tell you, that promises made over champagne flutes at midnight rarely amount to any real sustainable change. So how do I manage my resolutions as a professional “in the know”? Here are some tips for how I approach my own personal family goals. Hopefully these ideas can help make real family transformations for you this year too: 1. Change the Date. I celebrate Martin Luther King Jr Day instead … Continue reading
