A new year brings a new savings plan and goals for my family. My husband and I have chosen to make travel a priority – planning at least one big trip and several road trips throughout the year.  We have had to make sacrifices in many areas of our lives to make these trips possible  – the “money doesn’t grow on trees, Cheryl” that I heard all throughout my childhood is actually true! Most people are under the impression that frugal is boring. I am here to change that. Just because you use coupons, try to be frugal and have a family budget to follow doesn’t mean that you have to lose your fabulous. So, what can I bring to the table? I follow a budget – but let’s get serious. Food is one of those things that there aren’t a lot of coupons for. Halloween is my FAVORITE time of the year! I love it so much that I wanted to get married on Halloween, but the hubs didn’t think it was a good idea. So, I had my bridal shower on Halloween instead. Most of the older family members thought it was strange until they arrived and had a blast.
