My last pregnancy I felt .. well … DUMB and this pregnancy, honestly no words can describe this feeling – could it be left over from my last pregnancy or is it possible it’s accumulating I find myself saying over and over to friends, family and even clients “can I blame it on my baby brain” and it’s no joke .. IT’S REAL!!! Recently I got a call from a girlfriend who I shared my frustrations with and she told me that there were articles about baby brain/pregnancy brain being an actual problem for pregnant women. She sent it to … Continue reading
This is by far one of my favorite recipes! It’s a yummy quinoa salad that is great as a side dish or for the lighter eaters, it can be a full meal. My husband NEVER had quinoa before and I made him try this and now he said he would eat it everyday. It’s super easy to make (for real … this is coming from someone who really doesn’t know how to cook and I make this all the time) 1/4 cup of lime juice or lemon juice (i use lemon juice)2 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce1 tablespoon olive oil1 … Continue reading
I am thrilled to say that as of the end of August my little guy will be a big brother!!! After a lot of tears, I finally saw the big ‘+’ sign and after hugging and kissing my husband in excitement, all of a sudden I got super nervous. So many things started running through my mind and top of my list was that Frankie was not going to be an only child anymore and the attention will no longer be all on him and I honestly got sad for him. That all changed after three impatient months of keeping … Continue reading
Frankie is at a great stage now where he can play by himself and is learning to use his imagination. A lot of my purchases these days are toys that will encourage him to use his imagination and even though they show a higher age recommendation, I don’t think it’s too early to start. Being a PTPA blogger, I get the opportunity to test out products and blog about them. Recently, I was recently offered to try out a collectible dinosaur called the Carnegie Brachiosaurus. Up until that day, he had no idea what a dinosaur was and now he … Continue reading
Talk about fun … this was by far one of the most fun moments for both my husband and I and of course Frankie. I kept seeing pictures all over Facebook of these amazing cake smash photo sessions. I inquired about a photographer and once I only heard great things, I immediately booked my photo session for Frankie’s first birthday photoshoot (obviously knowing me, I booked this months before his birthday). After spending weeks trying to figure out what he was going to wear (I can’t believe I am actually admitting that), the day finally arrived! My photographer showed up … Continue reading
Don’t judge me because I bring a DVD player with me when I got out for meals with my son – for months now I have been avoiding going out for restaurants because I know my little guy won’t sit for more than two minutes, but I am at the point now where I want to go out for meals sometimes and I want my son to experience not eating at home, so what if he is watching a DVD player? Don’t judge! Don’t judge me because every now and then I need some “me” time – being a parent … Continue reading
When I was pregnant, I Googled every bag packing list to make sure I had EVERYTHING that was needed in my bag and I wanted to pass along to you Moms-to-be. I brought one bag for my things and a diaper bag for the baby: Mommy Bag: 2 pairs of pajama bottoms (larger sized ones) 1 pair of sweats (one’s that are not tight on the waist) 1 loose sweatshirt 2 long sleeve t-shirts (ones that will have easy access for breastfeeding) 6 pairs of larger sized cheap underwear (yes 6 might have been excessive but better safe than sorry) … Continue reading
This is one of the products that was clearly created by a mom for us moms (PTPA approved)!!! I love the opportunity to try new products and tell my readers about my experience and this is a MUST as I think it is a brilliant idea. Great for all ages, these “Scabs” are permanent stickers that are great for covering up those rips and tears on clothing just from being a kid (that’s right mom’s and dad’s, there is no need to be upset about your kiddie ruining your newest piece of clothing that you literally just bought for them … Continue reading
