So what person doesn’t like free? Especiallly with many households trying to make ends meet and not having the luxury of spending money, other than paying off bills. It’s always nice to hear about free food, free events, and anything free in general. I am always trying to find activities to do with my little ones that don’t cost an arm and a leg, and can create a lifetime of memories. Summer months can be fun and difficult. I love spending time with my children but the truth is that they get bored and I get bored, trying to do … Continue reading
As usual, I was picking my daughter up from preschool and she did her usual skippity hop towards me. However, this time she waved at her friend, looked at me, and then pointed her fingers at her. I looked at her friend, smiled, and proceeded to grab her bags to head home. My daughter stopped me in mid-transit and said, “Mommy I want her dress and her sandals.” I stopped, looked, and smiled again. She was wearing a very cute red dress with green sandals. My daughter proceeded to tap me and say, “Mommy can I have it. Please. Please. I … Continue reading
So it has come to this day when my little baby crawled over to my laptop and pushed it off the couch, to see what would happen to it. I should have seen it coming and placed it accordingly. My baby is in this phase where she likes to drop food from her high chair, to see pureed food splatter, carrots and peas bounce around, and crackers become crumbs. Just recently she has taken that curiosity into other parts of our home. She will drop toys from the bed, dig through my bag and flip it around, and she will push … Continue reading
If there is one thing I always have on hand in my diaper bag, it’s the Bamboo Leg Huggers. My mom bought these for me when I had my first child and it’s the one thing that I actually use all the time. They are a must have item in my household, considering the varying temperature in Southern California (our mornings/nights are cold and days warm). Most of the time my daughters are in tanks, t-shirts, and shorts because it’s regional appropriate. However, when the clock strikes 5 pm, the weather tends to get a little chilly. The soft leg … Continue reading
My neighbor next door came back from China (where she is originally from) and she was telling me about her experience with her new baby niece. Since the time her sister found out she was pregnant, she asked me for advice on products, books, and misc items for her sister. One thing I have to mention is that China has the one child policy meaning that you could only have one child. More than one child results in a heavy fine only affordable to the Riches. With that law in place, every child in China is an only child. For that reason, parents … Continue reading
The only chair my baby would EVER sit in and the best Christmas gift EVER, was our Bumbo Baby Seat. About the time when I was at partial loss on the sanity scale (not having slept for months, catering to the every needs of the baby, and recovering myself), my mother bought us the Bumbo chair for our baby. The baby did NOT want to be strapped down in anything! She hated the swing, she made angry noises as we tried to make our way to the bouncer, and she did backbends when we tried to put her in … Continue reading
Want to be sending positive thoughts and messages to all of your family members throughout the day? I do. When I came across Thought Spots, I was excited to see a product that would put on that happy smile to everyone in my family (even guests that visit my home). Although my children are very young and cannot read words fluently, I found these Thought Spots to teach my daughter a word or two. Thought Spots are inspirational messages, thoughts, and positive guiding tools that are put on spots. They are made of Static-Cling vinyl, so you can … Continue reading
I’m the first to say, when I see a child at my daughter’s school or a random kid at the mall, sneezing and coughing, I am ready to run the other way. When our children gets sick, we know the consequences of it, and what it does to our child and ourselves. So I went online to find a product that would take place of a tissue or aspirator, and be sanitary, as well as child-user friendly. I came up with Germy Wormy! An idea, I didn’t even know existed, until I came onto their site. Germy Wormys are disposable … Continue reading
