There are some vehicles that are great while others that are not. MommyMatter.com had the luxury of testing out the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu to determine if this vehicle was apart of the great group or the ‘not’ group. Being a family that owns larger sized vehicles we knew we’d be very critical instantly of the Malibu. We know cars can be designed to be small but big at the same time, and this was something we were really hoping we’d experience with the Malibu. First things first, if you’re used to driving a larger sized vehicle watch your head. For … Continue reading

Throughout my life I have struggled huge with my skin and finding products that will actually help me. I’ve dealt with eczema since I was a child, but not to the extreme many experience. Yes, I got those itchy patches on my arms and chest that drive me crazy. There are a lot of times when it makes me feel self-conscience and just plain old annoyed. It is frustrating finding perfumes, laundry detergents and anything scented that won’t disrupt my skin. Let’s just say I’ve given up in a lot of ways. Perfume doesn’t exist in my home and laundry … Continue reading

Since I am female and don’t particularly have the ability to grow a sexy stash (thank goodness), I asked my Dad who already had a moustache if he’d be the face of our Movember awareness month. My mom would be so proud of these cabbage rolls.  My mother was the cabbage roll baker in the family until her passing last August, and I am not sure if any of my siblings have been trying their hand at making a batch.  Now my mom never would of used a slow cooker for her recipe, but I am all about the slow cooker and especially in this heat, no one wants to be using an oven let alone being indoors cooking. I put these cabbage rolls together first thing in the morning and let them do their slow … Continue reading

Okay, I can’t prove that my title is politically correct or even true, but with the mosquitos out pestering our evenings, it is the perfect excuse to get my children to eat more bananas and it works. Mosquitos are annoying, blood sucking little things and I personally blow up like a balloon where-ever they bite me. Since bananas are not something I enjoy the texture of when they go rip, bananas don’t get ate in my home once they are past that delicious still slightly green stage. This quickly had us on the hunt for many banana recipes so we … Continue reading
