My husband and I have been trying to find a fun way to get our daughter more involved in helping out around the house. A creative friend gave me a great idea of how to make choosing a chore fun. I decided to try it out. Here’s what I did. 1 - Brainstorm a list of age appropriate chores for your little one. My 4 year old can only do so much tidying or cleaning so we decided to add a few activities to the list. Our list comprised of things like “help set the table” and “read a book”. 2 – Head … Continue reading

I love hearing about new products that challenge my daughter, bring out her creativity and are fun to use. I was so excited when given the opportunity to try out Spark Story Starters and Story Starters DRAW from a Canadian company called Spark Your Imagination. As soon as I opened the package my mom side was super excited and my teacher side was even more excited. These products looked great and could be used with my kids at home AND in the classroom. WOW! The Spark Story Starters are a series of cards that get kids thinking and talking about fun topics. I loved hearing … Continue reading

My little man has been testing out and loving Baby Gourmet foods for the last few weeks. When I received the products I was so impressed with the variety that Baby Gourmet offered. This is not your typical baby food. Your baby will love flavours like Juicy Pear and Garden Greens, Sweet Potato Pie to Apple Crisp. These flavours are so tasty you’ll find yourself sneaking a bite here and there. What I love most about Baby Gourmet: The packaging – no jars here! Just easy to use and reseal BPA Free pouches. The variety – with flavours like Apple Crisp there’s something special for every baby. No added sugar, no … Continue reading

I was recently given the opportunity to test out some I.C.E. tags from www.IceTag.ca. What is an I.C.E. tag? Its a “In Case of Emergency” tag you can add to your keychain, to your backpack or even yourshoes that has emergency contact information for you or your child. Right away I thought these tags were super smart. They are very easy to use and are easily identified when on your person. I especially think these tags are important for children to have since they may not know how to contact a parent or guardian if they are lost or in an emergency situation. There is a wide variety of I.C.E. tags … Continue reading

I love baby wearing. I think its a wonderful way to snuggle up with your little one. Its a fast and easy way to carry your baby when doing a quick errand and using a carrier can be great exersise. I had been using infant carriers for a while now but it was time for me to move to a carrier that was more suitable for my baby. I was so delighted to try the Boba carrier with my little guy. The Boba Carrier is an ergonomic soft carrier designed for babies and toddlers. It has two carrying positions. They are  front carry and … Continue reading

We read lots in my family. My daughter has so many great books. Books are one thing I don’t mind buying again and again. I was so excited to review a new book and toy set. My daughter was even more excited than me! We received the Ben Kachoo book and toy set to try out. My daughter adored the stuffed toy right away. Ben, the pink hippo from the book, sneezes and makes 6 different sounds. She just loved it right away. The toy is super soft and is a great size for little ones. The other thing my daughter … Continue reading

About a month ago I received a protective mattress sheet called the Oops Sheet for my daughter’s bed. This was perfect timing as we were talking about quitting the Pull-ups at night. My daughter was nervous about not wearing her “night time diaper” because she really didn’t want to wet the bed. I put the Oops Sheet on her bed and explained that it would protect her mattress if she had a pee-pee in the middle of the night. This made her feel more confident about the whole thing. It was set, we were trying out this new sheet. Here are a … Continue reading

I’m so happy that summer is finally here. I feel like I’ve been stuck in the house for way too long! Here are a few things I always look forward to every summer. 1 – The heat! I will never complain about the heat. Bring it on. 2 – Sunny days. 3 – Pool time in the backyard. We’ve got a great blow up pool for my toddler and lots of sprinkler toys to enjoy playing in the sun with. 4 – Camping in the back yard. One of my daughter’s favourite memories from last year. Its simple but very … Continue reading
