Like any baby, when they’re first born, you take photographs. Lots of photographs. Tens. Hundreds, Thousands. I’m not joking.
Especially when it’s your first child, you capture every moment. The first day, the first bath, the first sleep in the crib, smile, roll, etc. Something I also did was take a shot of Isabelle every single week while she was in the NICU, to see how big she was getting, and then every month in the nursery chair.
Sometimes, as mommy brain sets in, you forget these milestones or dates. Here’s where Belly Banter helps. Belly Banter is a company that makes monthly and milestone stickers for your babe. Continue reading
As everyone knows, I love to cook so when it came time to preparing food for my baby, I knew I wanted to make it myself. This way, I could control what sugars and preservatives my daughter was getting in her main meals.

Just last year, they launched the 100 Families Program to follow families with kids suffering from eczema and to provide them with the necessary education to better manage it. Now they’re at … Continue reading
Should is really a useless word – it implies that there’s a better way to do something, and you’re not doing it. It also places blame – either on yourself or on someone else. In most cases, you already know what should be happening. The ‘ol “shoulda, coulda, woulda” comes to mind. Continue reading
I’m a crafty person. I love arts and crafts – I always have. When my best friend, Marliese, and I found this craft online, we decided we HAD to do it. So, our Friday night was spent making these! So super easy, affordable (cheap, really) and fun. We thought it would/could be fun to make this a tradition and do a plate each year. Here’s how you make a painted Christmas/Holiday dish: You will need: – porcelain plate – enamel paint (this is very important) – paintbrush or sponge – Sharpie markers – baby wipes We purchased the plates at … Continue reading
Hi everyone – I’m Julia, Julia Suppa, pronounced soopa and my new blog is www.simplysuppa.com. Catchy, right? In my first life, I’m a TV host and producer. I produce mainly lifestyle television, but love the news. I’m an uber-curious individual and when I find something I love, I share it. So I’m not only THRILLED to be a part of the PTPA Blogaholic Family, I’m honoured. In my second life – and the life that has taken over, so to speak – I’m a new mom. My baby girl Isabelle was born prematurely at 30 weeks. It was a different … Continue reading
