My daughter is you typical seven year old girlie girl. She loves trying out new accessories and different styles in her hair. Her hair is very long and very thick, I don’t know what happened because when she was a baby she was pretty much bald until she was about three years old. She giggles at the pictures in the living room but it’s true! When she was about two, out of nowhere these lovely Rapunzel-like locks grew. Since then she doesn’t want anything but a trim done to it so I am always looking to try new and different … Continue reading
For those of us who are home the week our kids are on March break we have some thinking to do. There are kids depending on us to entertain them for an entire week without the break of a six hour school day. What is a parent to do? My parents would go all out and set up a huge (real) tree, we actually went out and cut one down with our dad a couple of times when we were young. We lived in the country for a while so trees were easy access back then. The tree was always beautifully done up with decorations and lights we weren’t allowed to touch. We dressed up in fancy holiday clothes and had guests over bringing us … Continue reading
Teaching your kids about healthy eating is important but many kids don’t enjoy their veggies – for whatever reason – which results in them getting less than the recommended daily portions. Getting less of the good stuff means less energy to do some of the fun stuff. Learning should be fun and what better way to do so than to make a game out of it – including when they learn about food! Bring fun to the table with Crunch a Color! Crunch a Color is a fun new way to teach your children about healthy eating and trying new … Continue reading
Hello PTPA community! My name is Alyssa and I’m a blogger from Ottawa, Ontario. I live with my partner, our two kids and our two dogs. I’m an avid social media user talking about raising kids, being a woman and everything in between. I hadn’t always planned to be a stay at home mom. I had never been sure about what path I wanted to take when it came to a career. When we had our first child I had been a stay at home mom and my partner worked in interior renovating. When our daughter turned three she began … Continue reading
