The Endorsement Parents Look For

Sesame Street has been a household name since 1969. As a child, I never really anticipated that Sesame Street would be a growing phenomenon that continued well into my years of motherhood. Sesame Street was once a show that I would watch in the wee morning hours, after school and on the weekends. It’s now continuing an era whilst entertaining my children. My favorite Sesame Street muppet has always been Elmo. With Abby Cadabby being a close second. The red furry muppet made his first appearance on Sesame Street in 1972 as Baby Monster. Over the years, the furry red monster’s … Continue reading

Last year, I read a quote on Yummy Mummy Club’s Facebook Page. This quote stuck with me… “A Veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank cheque payable to their country for an amount up to and including their life. That is beyond honour and there are way too many people in this country who no longer remember that fact. Remember to take a moment of silence today at 11:00am to honour our soldiers and their families.” Today marks Remembrance Day. Take a moment today to pause, reflect and honour all the veterans and soldiers … Continue reading

My children love to learn about the world we live in. They may both be under the age of 3, but they are at the ripe age of learning and taking in a vat of knowledge. Their curious minds love to inquire about everything. They love discovering new areas of the world, learning about other cultures and  various animals. Our family had the opportunity to review the Discovery Kids Activity World Map. The Discovery Kids Activity World Map is a fabric mat that comes packaged with many country and landmark indicators, as well as colorful animals. The indicators were almost felt-like … Continue reading

I had the pleasure of touring and reviewing the Sears The Baby’s Room a few months ago. The Baby’s Room is a department within the Sears store that is quite familiar to me. I have two children aged 3 and under. Over the years I’ve done my share of shopping at Sears whether it be for clothing, big ticket items or baby gear. Baby gear tends to be the more common reason that I visit Sears these days. My experiences in the Sears The Baby’s Room has varied from poor to great over the years. When I was pregnant with … Continue reading

This past weekend, I had the fabulous opportunity to attend Boston Pizza for lunch with the PTPA team and many fellow bloggers. It was a chance for us to sample the new menu and learn further about the new Boston Pizza Kids Program initiatives. Those who know my family well they are no strangers to the fact that my family and I are a bunch of Boston Pizza groupies. Some might even call us Boston Pizza royalty. Yep. We are the family that is notorious for visiting our local location once every week or so. Boston Pizza offers a casual, … Continue reading

For those who are unaware… Eczema is a form of inflammation of the outer layer of skin (epidermis) or dermatitis. Common symptoms of eczema are: itching, swelling, dryness, redness, blistering, flaking, oozing and bleeding. My husband suffers from a severe case of eczema on his hands between the months of October and April. As soon as the cooler months pop up, his hands flare. It’s quite a painful skin condition if not treated properly. LaRoche-Posay Canada has introduced the 100 Family Program. The aim of the program is to assist in improving the quality of life of these Canadian children suffering … Continue reading

Today is a day that I wish wasn’t in existence. Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.  A day that I wish no one would ever have to recognize, including me. Truth be told though, I’m the face of 1 in 4. I’m the face of multiple loss. Today I remember each one of my angel babies. I remember all of the fond memories. The positive pregnancy tests. The excitement of being an expectant mother. The morning sickness. The ultrasounds. I also remember the heartache. The weeks of living in limbo. The fear and heartbreak of knowing that God … Continue reading

Wow – I can’t believe we’re entering month 3 of the Munchkin® campaign. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being a Munchkin® Canada brand ambassador and sharing my favorite products with you. This month my post will be no different, as I highlight some of my baby shower memories and my favorite gifts. I had quite a large baby shower in June of 2009. All my friends and family traveled great lengths to come celebrate my upcoming bundle’s birth. I remember the day as if it was yesterday!! While we played many games, the majority of the party was spent mingling. My belly … Continue reading

I'm a chic, sassy, suburban Momma to a feisty toddler and very busy infant. Life can be chaotic in a house of children 2 and under, albeit I'm pulling through daily one latte at a time. Spare time is quite sparse these day... However when I do get a few minutes (notice I said a few) of peace and quiet, you'll find me hopping social media websites, blogging, baking or grooving to music. There's nothing I love more than dancing like no one is watching. I'm a domesticated momma turned social media addict. Being domestic in a digital world.
