I’d love to take a moment to introduce myself and tell you all about me!

My name is Danielle and I am the woman behind the Simmworks Family Blog. I’m an almost 30-something mom to two rambunctious kids who keep me on my toes. I absolutely love sharing about my life and my love of cooking, creating, entertaining, and playing.

I’m a native San Diegan who married a fellow native San Diegan and love to take advantage of the amazing weather we have here in Southern California. You can usually find me and my kids in our front yard playing games and make believe, or at the local park or beach. We need to wear sunscreen every day of the year because we’re outside so much!

For the most part we’re an eco-conscious family. We cloth diaper, recycle, garden, and are aware of our footprint on this Earth. And we try our best to teach the kids about taking care of our planet as well. You could say I’m sort of crunchy. I wore both of my kids as much as I could, planned for natural births for both (but only succeeded with my youngest), and I’ve breastfed both well past a year. We co-sleep together but it wasn’t because we have anything against cribs… it just worked best for our family.

I love sharing the products our family uses and love. I find that the best way for moms to learn about great products for their family is from other moms. Being the organizer of a local playgroup I know that I go to my fellow mom friends first before purchasing many things for our family to get their opinion. So posting reviews came very naturally to me.

When I started my blog after getting pregnant with my son I had no idea where it would take me but am so happy to have started this journey. The experiences created have made memories that will last a lifetime and I’ve truly enjoyed sharing what I’ve learned and tried out with my readers.
