The Endorsement Parents Look For

Go ahead and comment! Our bloggers want to hear from you.

Are you looking for a game that is more interactive and fun – and is a great group game for kids? Check out PTPA award winner –  Morphology Junior.

Morphology Junior

Designed for the 8 years and up crowd, but adaptable to include anyone, this game is hands-on, creative and lots of fun. Here’s how it works:

You divide the group up into 2 teams. One team at a time, you pick a card and from either the hard or easy side choose a word on the card. Under the word is a clue to help you team have some context of what the word is so they can guess. There are themes like food, body parts, in a house, games, etc.

PTPA-new-badge-150x150 Morphology Jr. {Review & Giveaway}You then get to choose from the collection of included tools: glass beads, wooden people, little colourful blocks, string, etc and have to build your word somehow, so the people on your team can guess your word. You can make your little wood man play hockey, or brush his teeth. You can draw a picture of a fish using blocks. It’s all about being creative and thinking of how to show your team the answer without using your voice.

There are a couple extra steps in the game, depending on what space you land on the board. Sometimes you get limited to only 5 items from the tool box. Sometimes you can use the tools on yourself for a clue. And other times you can make sounds to help make your clue easier to figure out.

My boys could barely contain themselves when I pulled the game out of the mailbag. They were SO eager to try it and we had to play right away. I am not sure if we’ve laughed that much in a board game for a while. It was so much fun. They eagerly showed their cousins the game the next day and that night we had a family game night that even Daddy hopped in to play with us. He had a great time too.

This is our new favourite family game. It’s too much fun and so creative. It’s great when games are more interactive that just rolling a dice and moving a man forward (not that I don’t like many of those games!). It’s just fun to do something different!

Now you can enter to win one of 2 copies of Morphology Jr! Open to Canada and the US. Ends on November 6th.

To enter, use the Rafflecopter form below. The mandatory entry is to leave a comment with your guesses for the following picture. We’ve put together 2 clues and you get to try to guess. They aren’t necessarily as easy as they seem. (That’s the only hint we’re going to give you!) Don’t worry if you get them right or wrong, this is just for fun. :)

After you leave you guess, make sure you click on “done!” on the form, then some bonus options will pop up for extra entries. Feel free to follow the steps and have more ways to enter!

So, here’s our challenge. We did 2 clues for you to figure out. Have fun!

I am a busy, homeschooling mom of 3 boys, currently aged 4, 6, & 8. When I not trying to keep my house from looking like a tornado zone, teaching the kids something, or folding laundry, I'm usually on my computer - blogging, surfing, chatting, playing games. Working on a college diploma in Web Design, I find a lot of enjoyment from my new attempts at learning to crochet and squeezing in some time to read.
