SUNRYPE1-1024x1024 Yummy Nutrition in School Lunches with #SunRype {Review & Giveaway}Recently I was chosen as a SunRype Brand Ambassador thought a PTPA opportunity! I was extremely excited, because I couldn’t wait to learn more about this amazing company and learn a bit more about the healthy options they have for me to serve my growing family. The kids were excited because they look at SunRype products as a treat, for them they get to try some of their favourite “treats” and tell mommy about it. Of course SunRype is looked at as a treat in our children’s eyes; it’s full of natural sweetness, without the artificial additives of sugar.  All around it’s a win; win and I cannot wait to enjoy this journey!

SunRype for me is an easy way to feel confident that I am giving our four kids a powerful boost of veggies and fruit in their diet. Although our children aren’t too picky when it comes to veggies and fruit, ( personally I think our huge garden has a lot to do with that) I still struggle with jam packing a healthy school lunch that gives them all they need to keep them alert and learning throughout their school day.

I have tried adding a cup of frozen fruit in their lunches, the end result a full cup coming back because “it was squishy and yucky”.  I have tried to add lemon juice to apple slices, end result sour apples that need sugar. OK well that’s not happening I am trying to send healthy options here. Banana’s end up blackened and again sent back without being eaten. I know I am not the only parent struggling with sending healthy options with my kids to school. We really are limited to what to send these days, and I do agree with the kids, I wouldn’t want to eat “yucky and squishy” fruit either.

We have always been a fan of SunRype juices, the kids jump with joy when they see SunRype fruit juices on the table. I love that they also come in a variety of sizes – 1.36L, 1.89L, and handy 200ml juice boxes; which are great for school lunches giving the kids one serving of fruit and vegetables in that small little box.

Another great SunRype product I have been slipping in school lunches lately are SunRype Fruitsource ( 2 servings of Fruit) and Fruitsource Plus Veggie bars (3 servings of Fruit and Vegetables) Canada’s Heart and Stroke suggest children between 2- 13 should be getting 2-6 servings of Fruit and Vegetables daily.

Sending 2 SunRype products in children’s lunches, parents can breathe a little when the kids turn down brussel sprouts at dinner time, because you are providing them with 3-4 serving of Fruit and Vegetable’s.

Here is a fun way to get some extra fruits and veggies in at the end of the day. Freeze a 200ml of Fruit Plus Veggie juice, once frozen cut off the top and let kids spoon it out as a slushy. Now when it’s time for dessert this has been a hit in our house! Juice box slushes that are jam packed with nutrients and 1 serving of fruit and veggies. Great nutritional way to end a day!

Each time I enjoy a glass of SunRype juices I can taste its 100% fruit goodness in each sip. It’s really a glass full of fruit and veggies, with all its natural goodness.

We are proud to be a SunRype family!

I love to save SunRype fruit chews as a treat, especially when we walk down that dreaded aisle in the grocery and the kids are begging for “sugary junk” as this momma calls it, the SunRype is a choice that we all smile about!
