Ahoy, mateys!
Tomorrow, September 19, is known as International Talk Like A Pirate Day – a day for pirate parties, dressing up like pirates, eating pirate food and talking like a pirate. 
What? You missed the memo and don’t have anything planned? Me too.
Don’t worry, here are some ideas to celebrate this silly day with your kids:
1. Find your pirate name using the pirate name generator. My pirate name is Horrible Grub!
2. Make a newspaper sword or bandana skirt – instructions over at Alphamom
3. Watch Jake and The Neverland Pirates – on Disney Junior in Canada
4. For pirates in the US, Krispy Kreme is giving free donuts to any buccaneer who enters their stores talking like a pirate. See the list of participating stores here. If you dress up in pirate attire, they will give you a dozen donuts!
