The Endorsement Parents Look For

Go ahead and comment! Our bloggers want to hear from you.

February 1st, 2008 was the worst day of my life.  My Mother was shopping at Walmart in Montgomery, Alabama.  She fell to the ground and had a heart attack. NO ONE WOULD HELP HER. No bystanders, no employees, no one and she passed away as a result.  I can’t help but to think if someone would have even tried CPR, there may be a chance that my Mother could still be with us today. She was a healthy woman, only 43 years old. She went to Walmart to buy tampons and died by the Jewelry counter.  None of us saw it coming.  I’m not here to point fingers or place blame. I’m here to spread awareness.

I saw this video released by the American Heart Association and think it’s worth spreading the word.  Please take 1 minute and 9 seconds of your time to watch this quick video.  You NEVER KNOW when you could save a life.

Dedicated to my Mother:
RIP Jennifer Elaine Forster Porter

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry to hear about your mother :( Even sorrier that no one was able to help her. You are so right in that people really should know how to perform CPR. Being certified can help save lives. Thanks for sharing.

Hi! I'm Jennifer! I am co-owner and writer of From Crayons To Coupons (formally Learning To Be Frugal). I am the lucky Mother of a beautiful 1 year old little girl and wife to the most wonderful man I've ever met. We have three cats who are awesome and each have their own personalities. I love music (mostly rock), cats, relaxing with my family, running my blog, shopping, and living a healthy lifestyle. Most of all, I just love being a mother.
