Can you even imagine how much the world has changed in the last 100 years? How much different life is now in 2012 than it was in 1912? It’s actually really mind-blowing. My hubby’s grandma turned 100 this week. It’s a huge momentous occassion – not one that many people have the privilege of accomplishing. She’s doing so fantastically, it’s hard to believe she’s lived that long. She can still walk, although with a walker and slowly. She’s smart as a whip, and as wise as always. We leave the house everyone fills their pockets with those cute little cars! When they are good during a shopping trip, I don’t grab chocolate bars on the way out the kids each get a new car. When picking them out it’s a very time taking event. I mean they have their thinking hats on picking out the perfect add to the growing collection at home. More times then once I would say OK your hot to touch, not knowing their exact temperature, don’t mom’s just know with a touch? A few times I felt kind of dumb to both my mother-in-law & mother; you should really be taking their temperature they would tell me in case it’s too high. It was a home birth. Such a beautiful and happy moment. I loved (and love) him more than he will ever know. The one person I failed to love after his birth was myself.
