Ah, Summer Fun!
I know that it’s almost August and that some of you are already looking forward to the back-to-school part of the year!
I for one, hate it when summer ends!
I saw this bucket list being exchanged on Facebook and other social media networks and I thought what a fun way to spend time doing things with the family! I thought I’d share it with you guys because sometimes time and even funds can limit many of us from doing more during the summer. But, what we often forget is that there are many fun and inexpensive things to do right in your back yard and within your very own city!
I find it hard to come up with ideas last-minute and having a “bucket list” of sorts is so helpful, even it you type it in your phone when you see something you want to do another day or something cool you saw on Pinterest that you want to craft with the kids!
We are lucky enough to live so close to the border that we are able to take advantage of great shopping, delicious restaurants and lots of fun things to do!
So far this year, we have done crazy cartwheels at the park, we’ve gone on mini-road trips within our county. During Canada Day, we rented a room, had snacks and watched fireworks (those are my girls watching the US/CAN Target Fireworks), we’ve definitely have had our fair share of ice cream and we have gone to the beach and have had picnics outside. A trip to the beach is always fun, you can search for seashells, find little creatures, make sand castles and swim of course!
Time well spent.
We often forget that it’s the small things in life that make the most treasured memories, it’s the time spent not the monetary value. Considering it is almost August, there is so much things that I want to do with my girls!
I think picking some berries, making root beer floats and bowling is in our near future.
How many things have you checked off your summer bucket list?
I’d love to hear how you spend summer and if you’re wrapping it up or going strong!
Let me know!
Til then, cheers m’deres!

I love the idea of a summer bucket list! Sounds like you’ve done some great things so far. I love the little things as well and think they make for the biggest memories sometimes. We’ve been doing a lot of day trips, like the zoo, trails, walks etc. And I’m loving it
First of all what a great picture of the fireworks and your girls! You are right the summer comes and goes before we know it and leaves us wondering why we didn’t do more with our time! What a great idea writing a bucket list!
What a great list! Have checked off a few and there’s some others that will be done this week!
Those fireworks were fabulous! I hadn’t realised how far away we were to the works when we first sat ourselves down to wait, but even at our distance, they were so awesome! Hopefully they’ll happen again next year!
I LOVE THE SUMMER BUCKET LIST!! Sounds like you are having a great Summer. For us its about spending as much time away from it all on a canoe trip. We love leaving the phones behind and spending a few days but a quiet lake having campfires, smores and swimming in the lake. I so don’t want Summer to end!!
Sounds like you had a great summer! If I made a bucket list, I would just put a bunch of ridiculous man stuff on there so we just stuck to a calendar, lol. As far as things we’ve done, this has been our busiest summer ever! I hate to be “links to another post” guy but I just finished my post for the PTPA on all our adventures this summer and there are way too many to list here

I have to say this summer has flown by so quickly…we still have our big trip to NYC and #blogher coming up next week but then after that its: swimming lessons, maybe a weekend camping and maybe a little R’nR for mom & dad!
A Summer Bucket list is such a great idea! Love it! Summer is flying by in a heartbeat. Can’t believe we’re almost in August already! It’s certainly been a very busy one for us. Family and friends visiting, trips to the beach, picnics, boating, etc. Our summer has certainly been action-packed. Wonder if I’m going to get any rest come Fall? LOL! Likely not.
LOL, Fall kicks off the holiday seasons! But, yes, being busy with the kiddos and loved ones is worth it all!
OMG, BlogHer! Have so much fun, I can’t wait to read all about it! Camping is the best and RnR is even better!
Plug away m’dere! Summer makes so many great memories! I will definitely stop by!
Going unplugged is definitely needed and I love canoeing! What a great way to spend the long days of summer! I don’t want it to end either!
I really do hope they have them next year, if not it will be so sad!
Wish I could have seen you that day! It was SO busy!
Thanks so much Denise, it was a great way to spend it. Even though indoors, we managed to swim in the pool and then watched the fireworks from the room. It was too hot and too many people on the streets.
We are doing more on this bucket list on the weekend.
That’s so awesome! We still gotta make it to the zoo!
