The Endorsement Parents Look For

Go ahead and comment! Our bloggers want to hear from you.

Are your kids driving you crazy already this summer?

I know mine are!

I love them dearly but my oh my, please stop with the whining already!

To cure the “I’m bored” syndrome, I’ve put together an outdoor scavenger hunt to occupy the little monsters, I mean dearies. It is part of our summer bucket list.

Tip – Try to find a few objects on the list each day. That way your kids are not too overwhelmed.

An Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

Find a maple leaf.

Spot a butterfly.

Find an acorn.

Pick a dandelion.

Feel a prickly plant.

Slide down a red slide.

Watch out for a bumble bee.

Go across a bridge that has sand under it.

Spy a bird flying by.

Find a chewed leaf.

Become friends with a ladybug.

Go across a bridge over water.

Blow on a dandelion.

Listen to the birds sing.

Pick up a few pieces of litter and put them in the garbage can. (Wear gloves please!)

Find a pretty coloured rock.

Spot an ant.

Spy a bird feather.

Twirl in a park.

Pick up a y-shaped twig.

Listen to a rolling creek.

Find a worm.

Search for a squirrel.

Feel a tree’s bark.

Look for your reflection.

Don’t step on a spider. (You don’t want to make it rain!)

Watch the clouds fly by.

Eye spy a fish.

Find a pine/spruce tree.

Smell a pretty flower.

How many colours did you see?

Listen to the wind.

Fly a “helicopter.”

To make things super easy for you, I have created a printable version of the hunt to download.
