The Endorsement Parents Look For

Go ahead and comment! Our bloggers want to hear from you.

When I first started Mommy Kat and Kids, I was probably the biggest stranger to social media that has every wandered blindly into the blogosphere. I’m a writer. Not a techie, not a social media maven, not a public relations expert. Just a writer.

So when I launched my site, I was only vaguely aware that there was such a thing as a blogosphere and I had no idea how it actually functioned. While I soon had fellow bloggers following my site with my handy little Google Friend Connect widget so kindly provided by Blogger, I didn’t know how I was supposed to react. I was concerned about bothering others with questions or comments, cautious about breaking some unknown rule of the blog world and confused about what exactly I was supposed to be doing.

How times have changed.

I could not be more honoured to be joining the fabulous bloggers of the PTPA Blogaholics because to me, this group is exactly what the blogosphere is all about. It exemplifies the sharing, interaction and, most of all, support that I wish I had known existed back in January of 2010 when I first started blogging. Because even though I’ve been blogging for well over two years now, it wasn’t until I started making friends with other bloggers and becoming a part of the blogging community that I really felt like I went from being a writer to being a blogger.

I have to admit, as much as I wanted to join the PTPA Blogaholics, I was a little worried about finding the time to write posts just for PTPA. My website is my full-time job right now and as every blogger knows, it’s not a full-time job that runs from nine to five! But then I remembered starting my blog so long ago.

When I entered the blogosphere, I did so with a blind jump into the water and an unfounded optimistic belief that I would float.

I did. So I am entering the Blogaholics in the same way, with a blind jump, a whole lot of optimism and a desire to share, learn and interact with each and every one of you. Keep an eye out for everything from tips and tricks for busy moms to anecdotes and adventures about my life as a mom of two very entertaining little boys and rest assured that I’ll be reading every comment, responding to every question and enjoying every minute of being a PTPA Blogaholic!
