Lucky for me I found out that my son had a peanut allergy before he had any kind of allergic reaction (thank goodness) My husband has a severe allergy to all nuts and when my pediatrician told me to have my son try peanut butter, my husband decided he wasn’t comfortable with it and good thing. Today I found myself asking my almost-two-year-old for five minutes of peace. (Yeah, I know, he’s not even two… but he can understand me!) I’ve spoken before about how I think it’s important to always look happy when you see your children. Whether the kids are walking in from school or I’m picking them up from Cubs, I try to look ridiculously excited to see them. Sometimes I have to fake it – sometimes I wish they were gone for another hour, but they don’t need to know that.
