When my little boy announced at 4 1/2 that he was never going to eat another animal again we had no idea what this would mean for Dylan. Now 18 months later my 6 year old little boy is a very proud vegetarian and will tell anyone who listens why he has chosen to not eat animals. He fast and sure response is “I want to save all the animals in the world, it hurts my heart to hurt animals”.
This past weekend Dylan proudly marched in The Toronto Veggie Pride Parade!
What is the Toronto Veggie Pride Parade?
Toronto is host to one of the world’s largest Veggie Pride Parades and we are marching straight into the heart of Downtown Toronto this coming Saturday! Parade organizers are putting a call out to veg or “veg-curious” folks to join in the parade whether it be in costume, on skateboard, or with stroller. The third annual parade will prove to be bigger and better – with inspiring speakers, mouth-watering vegan food, and a grand finale “Dance With The Animals” featuring larger than life-sized animal mascots. So find that inner party animal and come dance with us!
The Toronto Veggie Pride Parade was an aboslutely amazing experience for Dylan and our family! They all treated him like a prince and even made him a crown to wear during the parade. Dylan was pulled along in a special wagon and was introduced to the crowd as their “guest of honor”.  Dylan was absolutely honored to have been includeded in this parade and marched proudly with his fellow vegetarian friends.
Our little boy wrote a speach to present in front of the crowd and delivered it beautifully! Here is his speech….
He was even interviewed for the Morning News and did a great job explaining why he chose to be a vegetarian.

Are you or your children vegetarians? Would love to see you at the parade!
