This Woman is me…Not when I find a great sale but on Date Night with my Husband…
My Husband and I just started doing “Date Night” not long ago, to re-connect, find each other again… blah blah blah…Sure all that is fun…But I am in it for the ALONE TIME…I don’t where we go or what we talk about…so long as we are ALONE together…now that is an oxymoron…
But here is my Conundrum…
I am all about GETTING THE HELL OUT OD DODGE…no bedtime ritual, no preparing dinner for the kids, no “Ew I don’t like this”…or “I’m not Tired”…
I want to Pretty my ass Up and get out the door…
My Husband on the other hand always ask…”Should we leave after they are in bed?”
WHAT?? Hells no…what’s the point of being out if they are already asleep…?
Am I the “Bad” Parent for wanting to ditch my nightly duties and burry my face in a meal I didn’t cook and a Cocktail I didn’t make…OR 5!!!
It’s ONE NIGHT…Do you wait til your kids are in bed before going out…? Do you go out?

Date Night Martini
2 ounces Gin
2 ounces White Grape Juice
Fresh Melon
Fresh Cucumber
Fresh Sage
Muddle melon, cucumber and sage well. Add to shaker filled with ice with the rest of the ingredients and shake well. Staring into LARGE glass and garnish with fresh sage…

I am the same way as you. Whoever is watching the kids can prepare a dinner (which we usually plan ahead of time) and put them to bed. I don’t think it makes you a bad parent for wanting to go out once in a while to have a good time. It really just makes you human.
Besides, if you’re anything like me, going out at 8pm means you are going to be tired in an hour, which doesn’t leave much time for fun, lol!
