Yummy yummy, I made what Kenna calls Rainbow cake tonight ( some call it tye dye cake) It is one of her faves because of all of the colors and of course because of how it tastes!!
Now I’ve taken the easy road with these by using box mixes instead of making them from scratch like I usually do, but honestly with lack of time and juggling the kids, dinner, cleaning and just life in general its sooo quick and sooo good!! Heres what you will need.
A cute assistant if you have one..
I made 2 9 inch round cakes for this…
2 Boxes of Duncan Hines Vanilla cake mix
2 boxes of Vanilla Jello Pudding
6 eggs
2 cups water
1 cup vegetable oil
Food coloring ( your choice)
Frosting either homemade or store bought
Make the cake mix according to the box directions but add the pudding mix
Divide the mix into 4 bowls equally
Add desired amount of food coloring and colors to the bowls and Mix
Grease your pans and spoon in equal amounts of colors into designated spots on the pan. Then with a butter knife swirl the colors together but not so much so that they blend.
Bake at 350 until cake is no longer mushy in the center and let cool!!
Then frost and serve… ENJOY!!! and let me know if you have any ??’s
