I was reading a magazine recently and someone mentioned their “bucket list.” This got me thinking that maybe I should create one and it also got me wondering what types of things others had put on theirs.
So I did a quick Google search and was surprised to find that there are sites online where you can create your list.
Here are a few of the most popular list items from Bucketlist.org:
- Hold a koala
- Learn the art of small talk
- Get a speeding ticket
- Ring a church bell
- Learn to say hello and thank you in 10 languages
- Hold up a free hugs sign
- Pay for a strangers groceries.
I thought there would be “crazier” things on the most popular list, but wonder if its more calm because it’s a public site.
Another site I came across allows you to become a “bucker” and offer help and advice to others in fulfilling their list.
Do you have a bucket list? Would you make your dreams public or keep them to yourself?

I have never seriously thought about a bucket list, but I would LOVE to go to Australia, New Zealand and Scotland before I die. I’ve traveled to 11 countries, most of the U.S. states, and only 4 provinces in Canada. I’ve only been to the Caribbean, Indonesia and Asia (if you don’t count all over North America).
I think that’s pretty much what’s on my bucket list. I’ve done a lot of what I’ve always wanted to do (like live abroad and work abroad, travel, etc).
What’s on YOUR bucket list?
Love this – I haven’t created a Bucket List but there are so many things that I really want to do! For me a trip to Africa with our family is on the Top of that list!! Thanks for sharing Rachel
