My daughter is you typical seven year old girlie girl. She loves trying out new accessories and different styles in her hair. Her hair is very long and very thick, I don’t know what happened because when she was a baby she was pretty much bald until she was about three years old.
She giggles at the pictures in the living room but it’s true! When she was about two, out of nowhere these lovely Rapunzel-like locks grew. Since then she doesn’t want anything but a trim done to it so I am always looking to try new and different things with her hair to keep it neat and out of her face.
She enjoys head bands, hair clips, elastics with a character on them – things like that, she likes things that are unique. She will settle for your typical run of the mill elastics but you know, a girl likes to accessorize!
We had the opportunity to review PTPA winner HairThingz recently, perfect solution for the little girl who likes to add a little unique to her hair like mine.
HairThingz are a new fun way to do hair. They aren’t elastics, they aren’t head bands or bows – they are thingz! HairThingz were created by a mom of four who needed a solution in an economic crisis, her husband one day came home with a product he thought she may be able to put to good use – before they knew it, HairThingz were born.
HairThingz allow you to create fun and unique hair styles using different colours and placing them in different patterns. There are so many different ways to wear HairThingz, your imagination is the limit! Layer them, link them, stretch them – they always bounce back into their original spiral shape ready to use again and again.
HairThingz are made in the US with recyclable, non-toxic polyethylene. Each package contains 12 HairThingz in three colours. We received “Princess Tiara” which has pink, white and grey HairThingz. They also come with instructions and styling ideas. It can be tricky at first but with some practice we can create some pretty and unique hair styles with these! It was mostly tricky because my daughter has such thick, long hair.
We would need HairThingz Plus, bigger HairThingz for thicker hair available soon. We did manage to come up with a hair style after a couple of tries and we put HairThingz to the test. I have some learning to do when it comes to different styles!
HairThingz passed the test when it comes to staying in place too! My daughter bathed and even fell asleep with the HairThingz in her hair. She didn’t wake up to them all tangled or out of place at all, we both thought that was pretty neat!
Definitely a fun new way to do your little girl’s do – or even your own with HairThingz!
