A birthday is a special day where a person gets to celebrate the date of their birth. It has always been a reserved date for my husband and I to do something that would give us a memorable day.
People all over the world will celebrate in numerous ways depending on their beliefs and cultures.
When I lived in New Zealand it was customary that the individual celebrating their birthday to buy all their friends and co-workers (if it was during a work day) morning tea. Moving to Canada it was slightly different. I was disappointed that this New Zealand tradition didn’t happen especially because I worked amongst a group of 30 people. Thinking there would be a least 1-2 sometimes even 3 morning birthdays to look forward to throughout the month.
In Canada, it is customary that friends of the person celebrating their birthday buy a drink or lunch. This meant a lot fewer celebration and no morning tea! I’m not as fond of this type of celebration here in Canada.
GroceryAlerts.ca decided to create their own Canadian tradition by offering a FREE eBook for Canadians of FREE stuff available on your birthday. My husband and I have researched and co-authored a FREE eBook with over 180 merchants that have free activities and services for Canadians including:
- free golf,
- free spa services,

- free dining options,
- and even a Congratulatory birthday greeting from the Queen!
We have put together this free eBook because we love to celebrate our birthday and we wanted to share this for free. To download click on “Free Stuff on Your Birthday for Canadians.”
