The Endorsement Parents Look For

Go ahead and comment! Our bloggers want to hear from you.

I am really excited to be included in such a wonderful, inspiring, helpful, and resourceful group of bloggers!  I’ve been a fan of PTPA for quite some time now and of course, a huge fan of Sharon!  When I met her at SCCTO last year, I couldn’t get over how exuberant she was and how her laugh and smile were so contagious! Okay, and she has the most amazing hair EVER!

A little bit about me:

When I was pregnant with Little One, very early into my pregnancy, the doctors discovered that my cervix had already dilated. With an “incompetent cervix” (I hate the way that sounds!), I was put on very strict bed rest. I wasn’t even able to sit because even sitting put too much pressure on the cervix.  What does one do for weeks and weeks on one’s back? Read, surf the net, and start blogging about our high risk pregnancy.

The blog eventually turned into a chronicle of Life in the NICU and having a premature baby. Little One was born at 28 weeks gestation and at a whopping 980 g (just over 2 lbs)!

Now the blog has morphed into something completely different and unexpected. I write about our crazy life (I went from being a world traveling, vegetarian city girl who was born in Toronto and who grew up in Montreal to becoming a beef farmer’s wife).  We live on a 750 acre farm on an island in Northern Ontario! This makes for lots of blog fodder!

I’ve also been fortunate enough to be able to work with some wonderful and trusted companies as a Brand Ambassador.  When I’m not teaching or spending time with my family, I love sharing fabulous finds with everyone via various social media platforms.

One of the primary reasons I am excited about being part of the PTPA family is that all I love and trust all of the items they share with their readers. If it’s got the PTPA approval, you know it’s a good product!

As a first-time mom (okay, my child is now 3 years old!), I am always on the lookout for products and activities that are the best for her. Whether it be BPA-free feeding items,  environmentally friendly products, healthy food, toys or vitamins, I know I can trust the products listed on PTPA’s site. Why? Because they’re Parent Tested and Parent Approved. I trust the opinions of fellow parents and know I can always count on my peers for an honest review.

Even Little One recognizes the PTPA symbol! She  reminds us every day that we need to give her IronKids gummy vitamins to her. She follows along with her Today I Ate A Rainbow kit and makes sure she “eats a rainbow” every day! To end the evening, she falls asleep watching the stars with her Twilight Turtle. All PTPA approved products!

I’m looking forward to getting to know all of you.  Catch me on Twitter @chancesmommy. I’m on there a lot!

Christine is an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher, mother, wife, freelance writer, product reviewer, brand ambassador, and blogger. Blogging became an integral part of C's life when she ended up spending her second trimester on strict bed rest for her high risk pregnancy. Writing about her giving birth to a preemie (Little One was born at 28 weeks and weighed 980 g at birth) and life in the NICU helped Christine get through a difficult time in what was supposed to be the happiest time of her life. Now that Little One is healthy and happy, C blogs about her crazy life on the farm and with a very "spirited" Little One! When she's not teaching ESL or spending time with her family and adorable little girl, along with her regular freelance writing jobs, C does editing work, writes press releases, and fills her time with being active in her community. She is currently the vice chairperson on her township's library board and parent liaison for her township's Early Learning Playgroup. Chrisine lives on a farm with her husband (Hubby), daughter (Little One), beloved canine baby (Chance), a bunch of rambunctious barn cats and some really stubborn cattle. She can also be found guest blogging on the Canadian Beef Blog, as well on her personal blog: www.lifeonmanitoulin.com . Always up for a friendly chat, you can find her on Twitter @chancesmommy.
