Our family has had the opportunity to experience this portable Karaoke System and we are in LOVE! I have some great videos of our family singing karaoke on New Year’s Eve and I will be sharing them with you throughout the week! Everyone in our house had so much fun with this system. The system came with one CD with about 5 songs and we downloaded an additional 10 songs. It was incredibly easy to download the songs, burn the CD and start singing. Our neighbors might have wondered what in the world was going on when our 3 year old was belting out the Hokey Pokey, but it was well worth it! There are various disputes about who first invented the name karaoke. One claim is that the karaoke styled machine was invented by Japanese musician Daisuke Inoue in Kobe, Japan, in 1971. After becoming popular in Japan, karaoke spread to East and Southeast Asia during the 1980s and subsequently to other parts of the world.
