The Endorsement Parents Look For

Go ahead and comment! Our bloggers want to hear from you.

This was one of my favorite signs to teach my children. It is a natural sign and very easy for your child to do. It simply looks like you are rocking a baby. Both of my children would hug themselves and rock from side to side. Babies love other babies, they are often fascinated by them and want to touch and hug them. If you have a doll in your house you can introduce the sign for baby to your little one. You can cradle the doll like a baby and rock it back and forth while saying ‘baby’. Then give the doll to your child and make the sign for baby. Your child will quickly pick up on this sign because it seems to be a natural gesture of rocking a baby.
