This is the time of year when all “Top X” lists come out. BabyCenter.com recently released their list of the top baby names for 2011. Here are the most popular…
| Females | Males |
| Emma | Mason |
| Olivia | Liam |
| Sophia | Ethan |
| Isabella | Noah |
| Ava | Jacob |
| Madison | Aiden |
| Emily | Jackson |
| Ella | Logan |
| Abigail | Jack |
| Lily | Ryan |
There seems to be a trend when naming girls this year – they should end with an “a” and boys should end with an “n”.
I know a lot of people that look to these lists to help them when naming their babies. When it came to choosing both our boys names I did look to a top 10 list, but only to make sure our choices weren’t on it. We wanted to have something a bit unique, but not crazy like Pilot Inspektor (Jason Lee’s son), or Moxie Crimefighter (Penn Jillette’s child)!
We searched lists to see where our choices ranked and Googled them to make sure there wasn’t some odd meaning behind the names. How did you or do you plan on choosing your babies name? Do you use these Top 10 lists?

Interesting to see the shift especially in boys names! Thanks for sharing Rachel
I always enjoy seeing the popular baby names each year. Funny how both my daughters names are up there. :p And I also have 2 nephew names up there too. Ha!
Thanks for sharing, Rachel!
