Are you entering a contest here at PTPA and want to know the nitty gritty details?  Read on to find out what we do, how we do it, and how you can end up with some awesome PTPA winners!

As you know, here at PTPA we like to share the love.  We love showcasing award winners and offering them for giveaways to our awesome parent community.  Because we love giveaways, typically you will find numerous contests going at all times through our blog, our Facebook page, and even on our Twitter account. We recommend you follow/like all of the above for your best chances at the giveaways as soon as they come out. Plus, it’s a great way to get to know the PTPA team and our amazing Blogaholics!

Contests on our blog

Most of our weekly contests will take place on the PTPA Blog (Blogaholics) and will have a contest post that will tell you how to enter to win.

• Please follow instructions carefully in the contest post which will tell you how to enter and what prize(s) is/are being offered.  When commenting on the Winner’s Page or on a blog post we ask that your comments be thoughtful and relevant, any posts with “I want to win” or “enter me” will be disqualified.
• In the event that a Winning Wednesday or Fan Friday has more than one prize, they will be combined into one blog post.
• At the end of the contest period, in order to keep things as fair as possible, winners are chosen at random using Random.org — a random integer generator.
• Winners will be notified by email as well as announced on the giveaway post.
• All prizes must be claimed within 2 weeks (14 days) of our first attempt to contact you via e-mail. After that time, your prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
• Fan Friday and Winning Wednesday contests will typically last a full week (Friday to Friday, Wednesday to Wednesday) but timelines are subject to change.
• All prizes are shipped from the sponsoring company and not directly from our offices.  Please allow 4-6 weeks for shipment of your prize from the sponsoring company.  After that time if you still have not received your prize, please email us at contest@ptpamedia.com and let us know so we can look into this for you. – Do not post on the company’s Facebook page, social media outlet, or contact them by email!

Contests on Facebook

Some contests will be done entirely on Facebook as part of Facebook hops, spur-of-the-moment contests, and for our winner’s Congrats-a-Thon.

• We will create a Facebook status post that will tell you what you can win and how to enter as well as when the contest will end.
• For each of these contests, you will be able to find instructions on how to enter directly on Facebook. These contests do not have a corresponding blog post associated with them.
• Once winners are chosen, they will be mentioned on Facebook in the original contest post as well as in a new status update, so make sure you are checking back for winner’s announcements if you’ve entered.
• All prizes must be claimed within 2 weeks (14 days) of our first attempt to contact you via e-mail. After that time, your prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected.
