The Endorsement Parents Look For

Go ahead and comment! Our bloggers want to hear from you.

When you think about “trick or treating”, the idea is really about dressing up, knocking on doors and asking for treats.

In addition to dressing up and acting your “part”, it’s a great excuse to ask for something – just for the heck of it!

A very freeing concept for someone like myself, as I was raised with the idea that you should never ask for anything, even help, because it supposedly bothers other people or somehow makes you look weak. (I beg to differ!!)

trick-a-trea How Much Trick or Treating Does Your Social Media Presence Do?So Halloween is cool for asking and if you haven’t done so yet, you should get yourself “trick or treating” on social media and I will tell you why.
You see, asking provides the giver an opportunity to contribute and the receiver an opportunity to feel appreciative of the gesture.

As we know, social media is a HUGE ongoing conversation and you can’t possibly be active without asking.

Yes following back, replying to your @mentions and sharing other peoples content are a great way to be liked but will you evoke conversations? Because really it is via conversations that we get to know each and learn from one & another.

Here are some benefits of asking on social media:

  • It gets people talking and creates dialogue
  • It helps you gain valuable insights and discover new ideas
  • It makes you feel involved
  • It gives you a sense of belonging and purpose
  • It demonstrates your openness

…. Just to name a few!

So pick out that rocking costume and go “trick or treating”! Ask away and fill your pillow case with all kinds of goodies!

The givers will feel good and the receivers will fill their social bellies!!

Happy Halloween to all!
