Halloween is probably the most anticipated event by kids in the entire year! Halloween is all about spooky costumes and lots of parties… at school, at home and with friends. Autumn is my family’s favorite time of year. The weather is cooler, the trees look beautiful, we break out the spooky Halloween and Day of the Dead decorations, it’s football season, and we go gaga for Apple Cider Donuts. If I admit I don’t get poetry, would you think I’m a plebe? Well, it doesn’t matter, because I’m going to say it anyways. Poetry isn’t my thing. I know some people truly love it, but…yeah…not for me. So, for some reason it was the Summer of the Book. I read voraciously. It was 12 books that I consumed, to be exact. I guess I was looking for The Books of the Summer (last year it was a toss up between The Help and The Secret Daughter). You know, that must read that everyone is buzzing about?
