Has your little girl heard of Sofia the First yet? Sofia is Disney’s newest little princess. She’s a seven year old girl who’s mother just married the King of Enchancia. Sofia has to learn how to be a princess with the help of Flora, Fauna and Merryweather of Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. This book has so many beautiful details. What we love about the book: The title of the book is embossed on the hard cover – its beautiful! Special … Continue reading
I’m super excited because this weekend I am jumping into a shiny, new Buick Enclave and heading up to Whistler for the weekend for May 24. From now until July 2, 2013 Canadians can earn AIR MILES reward miles on their puchase of select Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac and GMC vehicles. I heard a loud thump while loading the dishwasher and immediately my heart started racing. My first reaction was to drop whatever I was doing and dash straight towards wherever my 8 month old and 4 year old was. To my relief, the two were situated on the floor playing pat-a-cake pat-a-cake bakers man with their hands while watching an episode of The Wiggles; baby boy safely nestled in his Green Baby Snug. *phew* I received the Baby Snug, created from Mamas and Papas, to review and was thrilled to be able to put away our old baby seat (to … Continue reading
The single most expensive purchase when preparing for a baby is a stroller. Back when I was a baby, my mom said you only had one option, a basic umbrella stroller. Times have definitely changed since my days as a baby because strollers now come in all shapes, sizes, weights and more. The options seem to get more elaborate as time passes. While having many options are great, it can also be quite overwhelming. From all those options, if you’ve been eyeing a jogging stroller, otherwise known as a jogger, you need to get your hands on a Summit X3. … Continue reading
I often post some of my favorite recipes on my blog. Today I posted a recipe for a really easy macaroni and cheese that I cook in the crock-pot that I’ll share here too. This is a favorite quick and easy to make recipe of mine. Kids love macaroni and cheese, it’s always a guaranteed crowd pleaser here. I make mine in the crock-pot. This is perfect for when we are on the go all morning and I don’t have a lot of time to prepare lunch. I make it while everyone eats breakfast and let it cook in the … Continue reading
One of the hardest things to do as a parent is to stop comparing one child to another. This is true for your own children or someone else’s children. Parents are constantly comparing who did what first. Having something that better than someone else is a common theme in our culture. one-up·man·ship The art of outdoing or showing up a rival or competitor, as in exploits, privileges, or honors. This puts many parents on edge. Am I a good enough parent? Am I doing the “right” things for my child? In the end, the “right thing” is always what is … Continue reading
Disclosure: I received this product in exchange for an evaluation and review, however this did not effect my decisions. All opinions and experiences are completely honest and 100% my own. Ok, so maybe I’m strange – but when I learned I had the chance to review a new set of paper towels from Bounty, I was actually really excited. Maybe not in the usual way, but in an “I’m a Homeschool Mom and we can take this opportunity to do some cool experiments!” way. My boys were right on board. Let me introduce you to the new Bounty DuraTowel. (We … Continue reading
We all have our favorite brands, those brands that we frequent regularly, that we believe in and stand behind. For me Tim Hortons is that brand. Not a morning goes by that I don’t stop to pick up my large tea and a bagel. It is part of my routine and the brand just feels like home for me. Last night I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful event hosted by Tim Hortons. As I observed a room filled with many Tim Hortons executives I felt such a sense of pride and excitement to be part of an amazing … Continue reading
