It’s Strawberry Picking Season! By Toronto4Kids.com Picking strawberries is the perfect opportunity to teach kids about where our food comes from or to remind yourself just how flavorful fresh berries are supposed to taste. Strawberries typically peak from mid-June to mid-July depending on the spring weather conditions. Many farms will have a Strawberry Festival, where you can taste all kinds of fresh strawberry foods, pies, jams, cakes ? and most commonly, fresh strawberry shortcake. Find a farm that will also offer wagon rides, barnyard play and other activities for kids to make it a fun family day out!
According to a recent study, the most stressful number of kids to have is three. I remember being a mom of one—though it wasn’t for long—and finding it difficult. Truthfully, I didn’t find it exciting enough, and there were times it could be quite boring. When I look back now, and think of how I was juggling a baby and law school, I wonder how the word boredom ever factored in. These days, I’d jump for a warm serving of boring. I was a happier mom once my second child arrived, 15 months after my first. Even after suffering a … Continue reading
Looking back on my childhood I can recall some of my favourite toys that I loved to play with. One of my favourites was my view finder. So recently when I was provided the opportunity to create my own custom view master I was extremely excited. It took me awhile to pinpoint the exact memories that I wanted to capture, but in the end I decided to zero in on my recent trip to Mexico this past January. To create the View Master was easy. I had to visit Image 3D, create an account, and from there I was flying… … Continue reading
Our second day in Paris with a toddler was quite challenging, we decided to visit Notre Dame de Paris, The Conciergerie, the Sainte Chapelle and finally the Point Neuf, these famous attractions are located close to each other. We started with Notre Dame de Paris, a beautiful church with such familiar look but this time we saw it real. Lots of tourists were around fascinated with the magnificent view. The front of Notre Dame was filled with visitors taking pictures; when we arrived, the line-up to enter the Cathedral was very long and stretched for a few blocks. Finally, the … Continue reading
I have been a #PGMom for the past year now! It’s been an amazing opportunity that has allowed me to test out many of the common household products that one would find kicking around. So when PTPA put out a calling for testers of the new Bounty DuraTowel I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. Conveniently the day I began my testing of the Bounty DuraTowel a bag of milk had exploded in my milk tray. All it took to clean up the mess was several sheets of DuraTowels. I was able to soak up a lot of the mess, and … Continue reading
I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the SafeToSleep Breathing & Sleeping Monitor. “The SafeToSleep is a breakthrough baby monitor that can monitor every breath of your sleeping baby. The monitor tracks your baby’s sleep patterns and provides reports on total sleep time and sleep quality. The SafeToSleep monitor has been … Continue reading
Ten reason why being a stay-at-home mom is tougher than being a CEO. 1. You do the job of twenty but without pay! 2. Your subordinates can’t talk or properly articulate what they need. They often shout or throw a tantrum to get things done, they are constantly late, and they need your undivided attention 24/7. Basically, you end up working for them. 3. You don’t get any perks like a luxury travel or a private jet. In fact, you’re expected to be a chauffeur and typically the company car is a minivan. 4. You don’t get any sick-days. 5. … Continue reading
