I have been converted from a paperback reader to a Kobo Glo reader! I love the feel and experience of reading a traditional paperback, but the Kobo Glo has so many features that allowed me to improve my reading experience; especially when reading in bed. I didn't expect to be so impressed; this is definitely a must-have if you like to read and want more flexibility in terms of being able to read anywhere at any time!
The Kobo Glo is absolutely great. I had an older Glo and so many improvements have been made, from the wifi to the touch screen to the fact that you don't have to use a book light. I love my Kobo Glo.
There are a few things that I look for when I choose an e-reader, it has to be functional, check. It has to have to connectivity so I can purchase books from the e-reader, check and it has to be built well, check. The Kobo Glo is sturdy, does it’s job as an e-reader and does it remarkably well and even comes with the handy feature to have the option to turn on the front lighting if you are reading in low light.
Whether you are familiar with technology or you are new to e-readers and want something that is going to allow you to read books without becoming a tech nerd, the Kobo glo is perfect.
The settings enable you to change the font, the weight of the font and the size and turn on one simple button to use the front lighting. So, if you are reading in the daytime and don’t want the glow you don’t have to turn it on. When you are reading at night, the Glo is great and better than a lot of other devices as it’s evenly distributed throughout the screen.
Using the Kobo, you have the ability to share the books you are reading through your social networks. You can even see stats about how fast you’ve read and how many books you’ve read. If you are into it, you can even earn badges for reading. Motivation to read? Maybe.
The Kobo feels great in your hands. It’s easy to hold and isn’t awkward and is light enough that your hands aren’t going to get tired holding it.
Combine these features with the fact that it’s sturdy and I don’t feel like the kids are going to break it if I let them read something on it and you have a winner.
