My daughter is only 5 months old and still thrives highly on interaction with people, no matter how fun the toy. But she sure does love the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Dance & Play Puppy. While she requires mom and dad to make the puppy really engaging (because she is only 5 months old), she does show an extra level of curiosity and interest when we integrate the puppy into our playtime. Her eyes light up and she smiles really big and lets out squeals while the puppy moves and we sing and dance along. We sing and dance with our daughter all the time but we always look for ways to make ourselves more interesting to her. Not only does the puppy gain our daughter's attention through a friendly voice, bright colours, fun movements and catchy tunes, but also through recognition as it sings some of the same songs we already sing to her (such as Pat-a-Cake, If You're Happy & You Know It and Do Your Ears Hang Low). And we love that it helps us be silly because some days when we're tired that doesn't come easily. She reaches out to touch the puppy and is especially drawn to his hands and ears as they move. At her age, she doesn't understand to sing along or copy movements so we expect this toy to provide lots of learning fun for a long time! We absolutely recommend this product as a great aid in teaching song & dance, the ABC's, rhyming, counting, clapping, body parts, and even manners! With the Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Dance & Play Puppy, teaching will be fun for mom and dad and learning will be fun for baby!

I believe this is an interactive toy that teaches babies many different things such as dance movements along with numbers and letters. This engaging toy is definitely one that will keep your baby entertained for hours and will become a cherished toy for years to come!
