Bugables Mosquito Repellent Stickers add protection, style, fun to your campfire. I was surprised how well it kept my little enemies away! A MUST for your next camping trip!
I thoroughly enjoyed being able to test the Bugables product! I was apprehensive that a "natural" repellent that I simply stick onto my clothes would actually work....but it did! The best part? Although Bugables are intended for mosquitoes, my Bugables actually kept dozens of nasty blackflies away from me. I had blackflies buzzing all around me but never got one bite! I'm a big fan of anything that will do that!
I love spring! The flowers, warmer temperatures, green grass and the sound of kids playing outside. What I don’t like is the fact that each year, mosquitoes are becoming more of a problem. Not only do they seem to be increasing in numbers, but the realization that they carry potential diseases means that I am always looking for a great product that will keep them away from my family!
I don’t like using chemicals as repellents on my son, so using many of the sprays and aerosols are just not an option. When I was introduced to Bugables, I was eager to give them a try.
Bugables are a fun line of mosquito repellent stickers for kids that help repel those nasty critters for up to 200 hours. The stickers are made of a thick, plastic material that are infused with 100% natural repellent oils (Lemongrass, Geranoil & Citronella). The scent masks the odors humans emit that attract insects, effectively making “you” smell like a plant and invisible to insects. Just put them on and forget about them. No need to be reapplying sprays every 30 to 60 minutes. The less I have to worry about, the better!
The Bugables come with double sided adhesive pads that are attached to the ‘stickers’ and then stuck onto your child’s clothing. You can place them on shirts, shoes, hats, shorts or backpacks and each sticker repels a 4 to 6 foot area.
The stickers actually adhered very well to the clothing. When you are done wearing them for the day, it is recommended that you place them on wax paper and put them in a sealed bag to prolong use. The scent that they give off is quite strong and when we tried them we certainly didn’t notice any mosquitoes.
They are recommended for children over the age of 5 and if you, like we do, have a child that is very curious about things like this, I just stuck it to the back of my son so that he wouldn’t fuss with it.
Overall, Bugables are a reasonably priced, durable mosquito repellent, that being all natural, it’s a thumbs up for me! We use citronella candles when we sit out on the deck in the spring and summer, but it’s kind of hard to carry those around with you! This is a great option for an all natural product that is made out of fun designs that kids will love.
